Army sergeant arranged threesome a month before alleged murder plot

A British army sergeant who allegedly tried to kill his wife by sabotaging her parachute arranged to have sex with both his ex-wife and a prostitute a month before the murder plot, according to reports.

Emile Cilliers arranged to meet up with his ex-wife, Carly Cilliers, on March 13, 2015 — before also hitting up a prostitute for unprotected sex for $142 and asking her, “Can I film it?,” prosecutors said.

Details of Cilliers’ sex antics were revealed Wednesday at his retrial in Winchester Crown Court in England, according to the Guardian.

A jury in November failed to reach a verdict following about 30 hours of deliberations in the seven-week trial.

Prosecutor Michael Bowes said Emile Cilliers was also having an affair with an Austrian woman, Stephanie Goller, while he was still sleeping with Carly Cilliers and soliciting prostitutes.

The South African-born 38-year-old is accused of tampering with wife Victoria Cilliers’ main and reserve parachutes ahead of her jump on April 5, 2015, to “get rid of her permanently.”

“This is a man who cared absolutely nothing for her and treated her with absolute contempt,” Bowes said. “He wanted to be rid of her and wanted to live his life on his own terms. He cared nothing for her and in truth cared only for himself.”

Victoria Cilliers, 40, an army parachute instructor and physiotherapist, plummeted to the ground after jumping out of a plane at 4,000 feet. Both of her chutes failed and prosecutors said key pieces of equipment were missing from them.

She miraculously survived but suffered broken ribs, a broken collarbone and leg and spinal injuries.

A week before the harrowing plunge, Emile Cilliers allegedly tried killing his wife by causing a gas leak at the family home.

The Royal Army Physical Training Corps sergeant was more than $30,000 in debt and wanted to cash in on a $171,000 insurance payout for Victoria Cilliers’ death, prosecutors charged.

Victoria Cilliers testified last year about the terrifying near-death experience at Netheravon Airfield in Wiltshire, according to BBC News.

“The last thing I remember is trying to get some kind of control over it, trying to open as many cells as I could, then everything went black,” she said. “I don’t know if it was the G force or the impact, but everything cut out.”

Emile Cilliers is charged with two counts of attempted murder and one count of criminal damage recklessly endangering life.
