At least five shot across NYC overnight

One person was killed and four others were wounded in gunplay across the city on Saturday night and early Sunday morning.

In Manhattan, Rashaun Pope, 29, was shot to the chest near the intersection of 125th Street and 12th Avenue in Harlem at about 1:30 a.m. Sunday, police said.

Pope, who is from the Bronx, was dropped off at Saint Luke’s Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, cops said. Police are questioning the people who dropped him off to find out what led to his shooting.

In Brooklyn, a 15-year-old was shot in his ankle and a 26-year-old was shot in the leg in separate shootings on Saturday night.

The 15-year-old boy got into a fight with someone near the intersection of Cleveland Street and Fulton Street in Cypress Hills at about 10:30 p.m., cops said. The man pulled a gun and shot the boy in the right ankle, police said. He then drove away in a black SUV.

The boy was taken Brookdale Hospital and is expected to survive.

Minutes later, the 26-year-old man was shot in the left leg near the intersection of Coyle Street and Avenue V in Sheepshead Bay.

An unknown suspect walked up to the victim from behind and shot him once in the leg, cops said. A motive in the shooting wasn’t immediately known. The victim was taken to Kings County Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

In Queens hours later, two men were shot at a party in St. Albans, police said. The two victims were at the party on 180th Street near Baisley Boulevard at about 4 a.m. when a fight broke out.

An unknown person then began firing shots, striking a 27-year-old man in the left foot and a 29-year-old man in the left leg.

They were both rushed to Jamaica Hospital and expected to survive, police said.
