A Bonnie-and-Clyde couple of thieves ripped off a Bronx auto body shop in broad daylight Friday, snatching $1,300 in cash from an office desk, cops said.
The male suspect distracted an employee while his female accomplice grabbed the money, they said.
The two showed up at the Vitico Auto Body Shop on Webster Avenue at 4:30 p.m., posing as customers interested in buying tires.
When a worker showed tires to the man, the woman snuck off and helped herself to the loot.
The two took then took off, heading west on East 180th Street, police said.
The male suspect is described as about 20 years old with a dark complexion and close-cut black hair. He was last seen wearing a black jacket, a gray hooded sweatshirt, brown pants and gray sneakers.
The female suspect is around the same age, with a medium complexion and long black hair, cops said. She was last seen wearing a black jacket with a multi-colored hood, multi-colored pants and gray boots.
