Cop impersonators steal man’s car after shooting him

Two cop impersonators shot a man in Queens Friday night before stealing his car, cops said.

The victim, 30, was driving at 202nd Street and 104th Avenue in Hollis around 11:25 p.m. when a black Ford Crown Victoria with police lights pulled him over, according to the NYPD.

When the victim stopped his car, two men wearing turtlenecks with NYPD lettering on the collar approached and demanded the keys to his Nissan Maxima, before asking about the location of a gun, cops said.

The victim said he didn’t have a gun, prompting the phony cops to yank him out of the car and try to handcuff him.

The victim briefly struggled with the duo before breaking free and trying to make a run for it, police sources said.

But one of the attackers shot the victim in the right leg, before they took off in his Maxima, cops said.

The victim was taken to Jamaica Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Neither suspect had been arrested by Saturday morning.
