A Brooklyn man was gunned down in a drive-by shooting only steps from his Crown Heights home early Tuesday, police said.
Argenis Cabrera was standing with a group in front of 1655 Union St. when a white Honda Odyssey rolled up and an occupant opened fire, striking the 33-year-old once in the torso.
The fleeing minivan then sped off, but traveled less than a block before crashing into a car stopped at a light near Union and Schenectady streets, police said.
Authorities are still looking for the Odyssey’s two occupants, who ditched their ride and ran off.
Cabrera, who lived only doors down from where he was shot, was pronounced dead at Kings County Hospital. It was not immediately clear that he was the gunman’s intended target.
No other injuries were reported.
