Duo arrested for drugs after police conduct traffic stop

Two women were arrested in Paris on Wednesday after a traffic stop led police to a drug bust.

Around 11 a.m., Paris police officers conducted a traffic stop in the 2100 block of Lamar Avenue.

Paris Police Lt. John Berry said officers found 39-year-old Christina Ruth Hostetler and 40-year-old Krystal Higdon Mitchell in the vehicle.

Both women were found to be in possession of methamphetamine, Berry said, and were placed under arrest for possession.

The women were taken to Lamar County Jail were bonds were set at $4,000 apiece.
