A plucky nonagenarian stood his ground when a stranger slapped him across the face during a squabble in Queens, video released Saturday shows.
The 94-year-old victim was standing on his stoop on 97th Street near 35th Avenue in North Corona around 12:20 p.m. Friday when he and a stranger began arguing, cops said.
The suspect is shown standing on the sidewalk in front of the victim’s home for a few seconds, until he walks up the steps and leans into the elderly victim’s face.
The victim pushed the younger man back, the video shows. Moments later, the younger man slapped the victim in the face, knocking his glasses down the steps and onto the sidewalk below.
As the attacker fled, the spry victim swung his cane, hitting him in the leg. The suspect then took off, stomping on the glasses and breaking them.
The assailant appears to be in his 50s, about 5-foot-10 with a medium build. He was last seen wearing black boots, dark jeans and a grey hooded sweatshirt.
