Two female corrections officers were busted for getting a little too frisky before work — having sex in a car outside a Colorado 7-Eleven, police said.
The officers, who were wearing their Colorado Department of Corrections uniforms during the public encounter early Sunday, were identified as Mary Torrez, 37, and Sarah Ippolito, 26, according to a police report obtained by KUSA.
A clerk spotted the women in the back seat of a silver Kia outside the Denver store just before 5:30 a.m., about 30 minutes before they were supposed to start their shifts at the Denver Women’s Correctional Facility, their supervisor later told police.
When a responding officer shined a flashlight into the car, neither Torrez nor Ippolito “stopped what they were doing,” according to the police report. Torrez and Ippolito eventually started getting dressed when another cop arrived and lit up the Kia with his patrol car’s lights, police said.
Torrez and Ippolito ultimately were issued a citation for public indecency because the encounter “was in a public place” that was well-lit and had several surveillance cameras nearby.
Mark Fairbairn, a spokesman for the Colorado Department of Corrections, said Torrez is an 11-year corrections veteran, while Ippolito started her employment with the department in 2016. He declined further comment Thursday when reached by The Post.
Torrez and Ippolito, who could not be reached for comment, are both due to appear in court May 8, the Denver Post reports.
