In total, four people were arrested for DWIs in the past few days; all but one of them were involved in vehicle crashes.
Crystal Bass Johnson, 35, was arrested after she hit another vehicle in the 2900 block of 40th St. S.E. while intoxicated. Paris Police Chief Bob Hundley said the driver who was hit was uninjured and followed Johnson to a driveway where she eventually stopped. Johnson was charged with driving while intoxicated. She was taken to Lamar County Jail where no bond has been set.
A teenager was also involved in a drunk driving-related accident in the 2500 block of N. Main Street. Alejandro Velazquez Sanchez, 19, was arrested for driving while intoxicated. He was taken to Lamar County Jail where his bond was set at $2,000. No injuries were reported.
Kelby Keaten Cole, 22 of Pattonville, was arrested after his involvement in a drunk driving-related accident in the 3700 block of Jefferson Road. He was taken to Lamar County Jail where his bond was set at $2,000. No injuries were reported.
Dianna Kay Edwards, 56, was arrested for driving while intoxicated after officers received reports of a vehicle driving erratically on the S.W. Loop. She was taken to Lamar County Jail where her bond was set at $1,000. Hundley said she was also found unlawfully carrying a handgun. Her bond for the unlawful carrying of a weapon was set at $1,500.
