A man kidnapped a woman from a bus stop in Cincinnati before driving her to Kentucky, where he forced her to perform a sex act, police said.
Roger Rust, 48, surrendered to police late Thursday after allegedly forcing the woman into his car at a bus stop in the 1700 block of Linn Street early Thursday, WXIX reports.
The woman managed to escape Rust’s car as he drove on Interstate 471 in Kentucky, where a tire on his blew out.
“[The victim] ran from the highway into the woods, where she was followed by Roger Rust,” police wrote in an affidavit obtained by the station. “Roger Rust caught up with her in the woods, where he forced [the victim] to perform [a sex act] on him.”
The woman managed to escape and flagged down a Campbell County deputy sheriff, court records show.
Rust was later identified as a suspect in the kidnapping when the victim identified him from a photo lineup, WXIX reports.
Rust was expected to appear in court early Friday, WLWT reports.
