A Connecticut man wanted in the slaying of his ex-girlfriend’s fiancé in the Bronx has turned himself in to police, cops said.
Jose Quinones, 49, of Bridgeport is charged with shooting and killing Juan Flores in his University Heights apartment building about 7:30 a.m. Saturday.
Flores, who lived with his fiancée on the fifth floor of the building, was rushed to St. Barnabas Hospital and pronounced dead, police said.
His fiancée, who did not want to give her name, told The Post that Quinones killed Flores “because he didn’t want to leave me alone.”
A neighbor said he often heard Quinones and the woman fighting with each other in the building.
Quinones turned himself in at the Bronx’s 50th Precinct on Sunday night and was hit with charges including murder, manslaughter and criminal possession of a weapon.
He was awaiting arraignment in Bronx court Monday morning.
