Man who tried to seduce teen with pasta gets a week in jail

An Ohio man accused of trying to seduce a teenage boy with chicken Alfredo was served a seven-day jail sentence this week.

Albert Maruna, 23, of Austintown, will also have to register as a Tier One sex offender and endure 120 days of house arrest, NBC reported.

Maruna got busted in an undercover sting last December. Maruna, who was 22 at the time, sent nudes to an undercover cop posing as a teen on a dating app.

When the undercover cop told Maruna he was 15, Maruna told him he didn’t “believe in age” and the two engaged in sexually explicit conversations, WKRN reported at the time.

Maruna started developing feelings for the undercover cop’s teen persona and told him he hoped they could get married one day. He also called his online pen pal his “one and only,” police said.

Maruna planned a romantic encounter with the undercover cop on Dec. 12. Maruna promised to bring a chicken Alfredo dish, Sprite, and lube.

Upon arriving at the meeting place, Maruna was arrested and charged with importuning, disseminating matter harmful or obscene to juveniles, possession of criminal tools and unlawful sexual conduct with a minor.

In Maruna’s possession were a Tupperware container of chicken Alfredo, two bottles of Sprite, Astroglide, Vaseline, an iPhone, a MacBook, and zip drives, Fox19 reported.

After his arrest, Maruna told police he didn’t believe having sex with a 15-year-old was wrong.
