Parents of slain children praise jury that convicted ‘killer nanny’

The Upper West Side father whose two kids were brutally murdered by “killer nanny” Yoselyn Ortega praised the 12 jurors who decided the fate of the monstrous caretaker.

“If you want your faith in humanity (and especially the courage and intelligence and dignity of New Yorkers) renewed, watch some of the jurors answering questions after [Manhattan District Attorney Cyrus Vance’s] press conference,” Kevin Krim posted on social media hours after Ortega was convicted in the double slaying Wednesday.

Krim reacted to the rare after-verdict press conference at Manhattan Supreme Court in which emotional jurors spoke.

“These jurors went through hell. I hugged every one of them I could,” Krim wrote.

In an earlier post, Krim and his wife, Marina, asked supporters to turn their anger into positive action.

“Marina and I believe that creativity is a positive act of defiance in the face of the destructive forces of violence and negativity,” the post read.

“We want to respond with constructive energy and hope you will too.”

Ortega was convicted on all four counts of murder for killing Lucia Krim, 6, and her brother, Leo, 2, in their home on Oct. 25, 2012.
