Police find 15 pounds of pot, stolen gun during search

Fifteen pounds of pot and a handgun were confiscated when police arrested a local man.

Jermaine Damon Davis, 33, was arrested Saturday after police executed a search warrant in his home on 42nd Street S.W.

Paris Police Lt. John Berry said when officers made their way inside, they found a 9 mm handgun which had previously been reported stolen. With that, Berry said, officers found about 15 pounds of pot. Davis was arrested for possession of marijuana, between 5-50 pounds, theft of a firearm and unlawful possession of a firearm as Davis is a convicted felon.

He was taken to Lamar County Jail where no bonds have been set.
