Police investigate possible human trafficking in Paris

Paris police officers are investigating a possible case of human trafficking.

Around 9 a.m. on Monday, Paris police officers were called to the Campbell’s Soup plant for reports of a possible human trafficking violation.

“It was reported that items had been located inside a trailer of a commercial motor vehicle that could possibly be evidence of persons being transported inside the trailer,” said Paris Police Lt. John Berry. “No persons were discovered inside the trailer. The investigation is ongoing.”

Whether or not the trailer belonged to Campbell’s Soup Co. was not confirmed.
