A prankster will pay $73,000 to an unsuspecting woman he kung-fu kicked from behind and left in agony with serious injuries.
Disturbing footage shows Garcia Montealegre counting down on his fingers to the camera before taking out a woman in the Diagonal Mar area of Barcelona, Spain.
As his victim and her friend stand with their backs to him in the street, the 24-year-old Montealegre sharply kicks his victim’s left calf.
The brutal assault forces the woman to twist awkwardly as she falls backward to the ground.
Reacting to shrieks of laughter from the filmmaker and friends, she shouts back: “A–hole!”
The attack left the 48-year-old victim with a sprained ankle and minor injuries to her left knee and wrist.
The unnamed victim also suffered cervical pain that meant she was unable to work for 75 days.
Catalan police were determined to catch the prankster, releasing footage of the video with the message: “Help us to catch this person who thinks it is okay to attack innocent people.”
After the video from the attack in February 2015 went viral, a shame-faced Garcia Montealegre eventually turned himself in at his local police station.
He has been ordered to pay $55,000 in damages but volunteered to pay $73,000 to show how sorry he was.
