Teens allegedly gang-raped mentally disabled girl at party

A mentally disabled girl was raped by three teenagers at a birthday party in Georgia last month, police said.

Chris Shon Da Vell Carter, an 18-year-old student at Duluth High School, has been charged with rape, aggravated sodomy and false imprisonment in the alleged assault along with two other teens, ages 14 and 15, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.

The trio, according to a police report, attacked the girl during a friend’s birthday party in Duluth on March 3. The teens forced the girl into a bedroom after adults at the party left the apartment and raped her, police said.

The girl, who told at least one person at the party that “something happened to her,” later threw away her blood-stained clothing when she got home, according to the police report.

The assault was reported to police on April 9 by the girl and her parents. Carter was arrested four days later.

The juvenile suspects – who were not identified by police – are in custody at a juvenile facility, according to the newspaper.

Carter, meanwhile, is also facing charges of sexual battery against a child under 16, child molestation and theft for a separate alleged sexual assault 10 days prior to the alleged birthday party attack.
