Traffic stop leads to drug bust, woman behind bars

A routine traffic stop leaves one woman behind bars for drugs.

Around 4 p.m. on Wednesday, Paris police officers pulled over 22-year-old Linda Sayra Godinez in the 1400 block of Pine Bluff Street for a traffic violation.

Paris Police Lt. John Berry said officers found Godinez in possession of Alprazolam pills, marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Godinez was arrested for manufacturing or delivery of a controlled substance, penalty group 3/4, less than 28 grams, possession of less than 2 ounces of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

She was taken to Paris Municipal Jail where she awaits transfer to Lamar County Jail for bond setting.
