Woman fractures skull fending off would-be rapist: cops

A woman bravely fought off a creep who pummeled and tried to rape her on the Upper West Side, but she suffered a fractured skull in the attack, police sources said.

The 37-year-old victim had just gotten out of an Uber at Central Park West and West 83rd Street and was headed home around 11 p.m. when her attacker threw her to the ground before kicking and punching her in the head, according to the sources.

The tough woman fought back and a nearby doorman who heard the struggle scared the perv away, according to the sources.

The suspect fled east on West 84th Street, cops said.

The victim was treated at Lenox Hill Hospital for the skull fracture and bruises to the body, sources said.
